Piano Plus Stories!

Julie, age 13, has been taking guitar lessons at Piano Plus for the past five years. She has progressed from being able to play only simplified chords to now playing complex chords and intricate lead guitar.

Julie is excited about the progress she has made and enjoys performing for her family and friends as well as jamming with other guitar and piano students from our studio. Now she also writes her own songs. She just recently auditioned for the arts program at La Guardia High School, singing and playing a song that she composed.

Benefits of adaptive Instruction

Adapted instrument instruction fills the gap between music therapy and traditional private music lessons. Often, individuals (adults and children) who do not learn in traditional ways desire to play an instrument.
